Amlodipine tablets contain the active substance Amlodipine and are a dihydropyridine calcium-channel blocker.
You can buy Amlodipine tablets online, or from your local pharmacy, to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and can also be used to treat a certain type of chest pain called angina. Amlodipine tablets should not be used to treat attacks of chest pain when they occur.
At e-Surgery, we can only prescribe Amlodipine tablets for high blood pressure. We will require you to fill out a quick 2-minute health questionnaire to ensure you are receiving the correct medication before you buy Amlodipine tablets online.
When you buy Amlodipine tablets and commence treatment they work by relaxing blood vessels, so that blood passes through them more easily. In patients with angina, Amlodipine tablets work by improving blood supply to the heart muscle which then receives more oxygen and as a result chest pain is prevented.
Whenever you buy Amlodipine tablets online, or from your local pharmacy, swallow the medication whole with a drink of water, before or after food. It is usually taken once daily, taken at the same time each day. Do not take Amlodipine tablets with grapefruit juice, as this can increase the chance of side effects.
Amlodipine tablets are generally prescribed in 5mg tablets, but your doctor may adjust your dosage to as high as 10mg tablets. Taking too many Amlodipine tablets can cause you to feel dizzy, lightheaded, weak or faint. Your skin may feel cool or clammy.
