About the product

Xenical capsules are the branded version of the drug Orlistat which is a medicine used to treat obesity. It works in your digestive system to block about one-third of the fat in the food you eat from being digested. Xenical attaches to the enzymes in your digestive system (lipases) and blocks them from breaking down some of the fat you have eaten during your meal. The undigested fat cannot be absorbed and is eliminated by your body. Xenical is indicated in the treatment of obesity along with a low-calorie intake diet. You can buy Xenical capsules online from e-Surgery.

What are Xenical Capsules?

Xenical capsules are used to treat obesity. Xenical attaches to the enzymes in your digestive system that aid the process of breaking down fats from your food. Xenical then works to block the intake of about one-third of the fat in the food you eat. Xenical capsules contain the active ingredient Orlistat which is available in a generic form. The only difference between the two is price, as Xenical capsules are a brand they are slightly more expensive.

Xenical capsules are designed to be used in combination with a healthy, balanced diet and exercise to help you to achieve a healthy weight. Xenical capsules are intended for use in those with a BMI above 30. Obesity can cause a variety of health problems including:

  • Type 2 diabetes
  • Coronary heart disease
  • High cholesterol and blood pressure
  • Some types of cancer
  • Stroke

To get the best results from Xenical capsules you should follow a diet set out by a doctor or nutritionist. Exercise is also a good way to aid weight loss, without these lifestyle changes you are less likely to loos weight using Xenical capsules. When losing weight it is important to remember it won’t happen all at once. Crash diets and extreme calorie restriction may work in the short term but are very unlikely to last. When it comes to weight loss, it’s best to work on it gradually. Xenical capsules are not a miracle weight loss medication, but they can help aid those who are already working towards healthily reducing their weight.

Xenical Capsules are a licensed UK medication that requires a prescription. You can get Xenical capsules from a GP, a local pharmacy or buy Xenical online from a registered UK pharmacy such as e-Surgery. We would not recommend taking appetite suppressants, unlicensed weight loss medication or diet pills. If your BMI is below 30 a nutritionally balanced diet in combination with exercise is the best way to lose weight.

How do you take Xenical capsules?

If you buy Xenical tablets always take them exactly as your doctor has told you. If you are unsure, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.

Xenical should be taken with a well-balanced calorie-controlled diet that is rich in fruit and vegetables and contains an average of 30% of the calories from fat.

Your daily intake of fat, carbohydrate and protein should be distributed over three meals.

You usually take one capsule at breakfast time, lunchtime and dinner time. To gain the optimal benefit, avoid the intake of food containing fat between meals. If you miss a meal or your meal contains no fat you will not need to take a Xenical capsule. Your doctor or prescriber will likely issue 12 weeks’ worth of tablets or until you have lost 5% of your body weight, as long as you are following a balanced diet and staying active.

Side effects of Xenical capsules?

As with any form of medication, Xenical capsules have side effects. Below are a few of the common side effects of takingXenical(Orlistat) capsules:

  • Headaches
  • Abdominal pain
  • Urgent need to open bowels
  • Oily discharge

  • Upper respiratory infections
  • Flu

For a full list of side effects, please read the Xenical capsule online Patient Information Leaflet.

It is common for people to feel some of these side effects with in the first few weeks of taking Xenical capsules or after particularly fatty means. They generally disappear or reduce the longer you are on the medication, and following a set diet with the correct amount of fat should also help. When you buy Xenical capsules and feel they are not working or they making you feel unwell speak to your Doctor.

Interactions of Xenical capsules with alcohol and food?

Alcohol does not affect the course of treatment. It is recommended that you always follow the nutrition program recommended to you by your doctor to get the maximum benefit of treatment. As with any weight-control program, overconsumption of fat and calories may reduce any weight loss effects.

Xenical capsules reduce the absorption of some fat-soluble nutrients, especially beta-carotene and vitamin E. You should therefore follow your doctor’s advice in taking a well-balanced diet rich in fruit and vegetables. Your doctor or pharmacist might suggest you take an additional multivitamin.

Are there any interactions between Xenical capsules and other drugs?

Make sure you let our Doctor or Pharmacist known before starting Xenical capsules if you take any other medication.

Xenical may strengthen or weaken the effects of:

  • Anticoagulant drugs (e.g. warfarin).
  • Ciclosporin. Use of Xenical is not recommended.
  • Iodine or levothyroxine.
  • Amiodarone.
  • Medicines to treat HIV, such as retrovirals.
  • Medicines for depression and other psychiatric problems.

Xenical capsules may unbalance an anticonvulsant treatment, by decreasing the absorption of antiepileptic drugs, thus leading to convulsions. Please contact your doctor if you think that the frequency and/or severity of the convulsions have changed when taking Xenical together with antiepileptic drugs.

Xenical capsules are not recommended to be used whilst taking acarbose (an anti-diabetic drug). Please read the Xenical capsule online Patient Information Leaflet for more information.

Xenical capsules can reduce the absorption of some fat soluble nutrients in particular beta-carotin and vitamin E, so you may also be advised to take a multivitamin supplement whilst taking Xenical capsules.

Is there any reason why I would not be able to take Xenical capsules?

You should not take Xenical capsules if:

  • You are allergic to any of the ingredients
  • You have chronic malabsorption syndrome
  • You have cholestasis
  • You are breastfeeding

Xenical capsules are not intended for those who are not obese and should be taken with the supervision of a doctor or pharmacist.

Why should I buy Xenical capsules?

If you buy Xenical capsules they can help with weight loss as it prevents the uptake of a third of the fat you eat into stored fat. If used in combination with a balanced diet and exercise can help reduce a person’s body weight by 5% in 12 weeks.

Obesity can cause a variety of issues such as heart disease, cancer and Type 2 diabetes. Xenical capsules can help to increase weight loss which in turn reduces the chance of these diseases.

What is the difference between Xenical capsules and Orlistat capsules?

Xenical capsules and Orlistat have the exact same active ingredient and therefore have the same result. Xenical is the branded version of Orlistat and is, therefore, more expensive. A similar example of this is over the counter paracetamol, the branded version is usually more expensive than the generic version but they are the exact same product.

Orlistat capsules start at 16.95 and Xenical capsules start at 25.95.
